The Leadership Academy and Mentoring Program (LAMP) invites Long Beach youth between the ages of 14-24 years old to join a fun and leadership-building program. LAMP is a unique mentoring program for teens looking to develop skills in: photography, fashion and graphic design, and music and video production. Located at Long Beach Community Action Partnership headquarters, LAMP serves youth who come from low income households so they may have an opportunity to be trained by experts in any of the courses. Students who participate in the program are required to join workshops that discuss leadership, personal etiquette, public speaking, and networking. Students also take the Strengths Quest assessment to learn what areas they are strong in and how it applies to their personal, academic and career goals.
